As you can see, the Palmas Reales is located on the western coast of Cozumel. This is the protected side of the island which means the waters are generally calm and the colors are vivid shades of blue.

There are sandy beaches near the Palmas Reales and also south of San Miguel. The oceanfront location provides breath-taking views of the Caribbean and dazzling sunsets.

Palmas Reales is located in a quiet area, yet close to town. Hop on the road and head south and you can drive along the coast until you get to Mezcalito, then take the cross-island road that brings you back into San Miguel.

Cozumel's premier beaches are indicated on the map as well as most of the major reefs and dive sites. San Gervasio is the site of Mayan ruins on the island and can be reached via the cross island road.

The botanical gardens of Chancanaab are marked and also the lighthouse at Celarain which is now a ecological park.

Mezcalito's and Paradise Cafe are just two of the restaurants/bars located along the eastern coast.

The island of Cozumel is approximately 12 miles wide and 29 miles long. Big enough to provide open spaces and untouched beaches, but small enough to easily get around.
